ABOUT:  'The 3 Mistakes of My Life' is the third novel written by Chetan Bhagat. The book was published in May 2008 and had an initial print run of 420,000. The novel follows the story of three friends and is based in the city of Ahmedabad in western India. this is the 3rd best-selling novel by Chetan Bhagat. 

PLOT: This story is based on 3 friends living in Ahmedabad in western India. This story moves about as the protagonist Mr. Govind Patel tells us about the 3 biggest mistakes he made in his life which are-

1. Falling in love within his friend circle 

2. Investing all the money in a single project

3. Being too selfish to cause harm to human life. 

REVIEW: It is a story of a young Indian generation in this modern world who counters unpredictable love, thwarted ambitions, absence of family affection, the pressure of a patriarchal setup, and the work environment around a universalized office. It also forces readers to question if an individual's dreams could overcome the nightmares that are offered by real life and also, if could we succeed despite a few mistakes in the process. 

The book is based on real events, real circumstances, and stories. While we all find Bhagat's books as commonly romance-based, this book comes out as a dark, yet witty tale of modern India with a lot of enlightening issues and learning aspects.
